Happy New Year

What a whirlwind of the last few days of 2010...

We have had a rocky relationship with Todd's parents for the past few years, but after much thought and consideration, we crossed the bridge and went to family Christmas Eve at his parents house. Many emotions were shared, and we were thankful there was a full house, all of Todd's extended family gets together at the holidays. I'm not sure when we will see them again, but baby steps.

Then, on NYE we found out that two of our dearest friends are going through a rough time. We love them both so much and want them to be happy. Marriage is something you work at, whether it is good, bad or somewhere in between. We know that the next few days, weeks and months will be a challenge for them, but know that they will do what is best for their relationship and marriage. Everything happens for a reason, but what that reason is...I don't always know. I just know that we are here for them both and love them both very much.

So...we travel this New Year road with a new outlook on life...our relationship...our journey to adopt from China...and our future. I think this will be a wonderful year filled with many wonderful possibilities for us.

Happy 2011!!

Happy New Year Diane! I have everything crossed for you that this is a great one for you guys!
Yes, families can be difficult. I am one of 7, and we do not always get on...I love them all dearly but there is just too many of us at times , all thinking that we are right and everyone else is wrong!
Partly why me and my husband think we will stop at just the one child!!!
